Benefiting Arkansas Children's Northwest
The OZCX and UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup – Fayetteville weekend creates a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere with a charitable purpose - raising awareness and fundraising opportunities for Arkansas Children’s Northwest and the more than 200,000 kids in Northwest Arkansas they serve. While the event weekend is ticketed (all attendees must have a valid ticket to enter) – in lieu of traditional purchases, organizers are accepting donations on behalf of Arkansas Children’s Northwest to secure General Admission tickets.
Featuring the purpose built World Championships cyclo-cross racecourse, the OZCX weekend boasts a full schedule of professional UCI and USA Cycling sanctioned amateur race categories and the opportunity to follow in the paths of greatness - lining up along the same start line that crowned last January's UCI Cyclo-cross World Champions and the coveted rainbow jerseys!
Last January, the international cycling community’s eyes turned to Northwest Arkansas as Fayetteville welcomed the world as host to the 2022 Walmart UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships. Building on the legacy of the World Championships, Fayetteville has been awarded a UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup event – part of a weekend long cyclo-cross festival titled OZCX. The 2022 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup – Fayetteville race is expected to draw the sports top athletes from around the globe and thousands of fans back to Fayetteville for a weekend of internationally televised cyclo-cross racing at Centennial Park!
Cyclo-cross encourages the wacky and wild where fans dangle donuts over the racecourse and sometimes the competition comes down to the most creative costumes. Grab your pals and prepare for a full weekend of community focused shenanigans like costumed, lively relay races and an OZ Kids Cross event for kiddos as young as 2!
