The cyclocross culture caters to both the serious and the silly and the OZCX weekend will feature plenty of both. With donuts dangling over the racecourse welcomed and costumes encouraged, our community events embrace the wacky and wild side of cyclo-cross as participants battle it out for fame and fun, but mostly fun.

A calendar of community events kicks off with the OZCX Street Sprints. Inspired by the exciting sprint finishes common at Centennial Park and its permanent stretch of tarmac – participants are encouraged to pull on costumes and sprint for glory towards the same famous finish line that crowned the 2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Champions!

We’ll follow the street sprints with the OZCX Walmart Corporate and Community Relay Races – an amusing race format where co-ed teams of pals and gals take turns on a shortened course layout in an exciting relay style event that’s sure create some memorable experiences – if nothing else in the team costume competition!

With something for everyone, we’ll wrap up the weekend’s community events with the OZ Kids Cross races for ages 2-11 – a spectator-friendly spectacle as kids as young as 2 years old participate in their favorite princess, hero, or monster costumes on a cyclo-cross inspired course ahead of Sunday’s UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup!

So, gather your best buddies and costumes and get registered for the cyclo-cross shenanigans surely to ensue at OZCX!

All proceeds from the OZCX community events benefit Arkansas Children’s Northwest and the nationally recognized pediatric care they provide for residents of Northwest Arkansas.
