If a stranger to the sport of cyclo-cross, these spectator-friendly events consist of an obstacle-loaded circuit style course designed to put lively fans right in the middle of what is cycling’s most thrilling form of racing! Fans are treated to up-close views as participants tackle feature-filled racecourses consisting of shin-high barriers, towering stairs, steep hills, and even sand pits! Held rain or shine, the chance of wind, rain, mud, or even snow makes cyclo-cross racing all the more riveting.
Starting with professional racing on Friday and through Sunday’s UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, the 2022 OZCX weekend of events features plenty of opportunities to catch international and elite level cyclo-cross competition in person!
The weekend will feature a welcoming, vibrant, and inclusive atmosphere with a charitable purpose - spotlighting the healthcare needs of area children by raising awareness and meaningful fundraising opportunities for Arkansas Children’s Northwest, the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, serving more than 200,000 kids in Northwest Arkansas.
While the OZCX and UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup weekend is a ticketed event (all attendees must have a valid ticket to enter) – in lieu of traditional purchase, organizers are accepting donations on behalf of Arkansas Children’s Hospital for all General Admission tickets. Give a little, or a lot! As the recognized beneficiary, all revenue generated from General Admissions will directly benefit Arkansas Children’s Northwest!
